That’s Saturday the 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Directions can be found here – Saturday in The Park & Directions – WPBARG Forums

We will be having our monthly meeting Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. I am excited to see everyone and talk about last month’s Saturday in the Park and what we’re going to be doing at this month’s Saturday in the Park. It’s going to be fun and a challenge for sure! We welcome all, whether licensed or not. More information is here – This month’s Saturday in the Park – Calling all slow scan experts – WPBARG Forums
I am equally excited to introduce to you this month’s guest speaker and his presentation.
Mark Wohlschlegel, WC3W, will be our guest speaker at our monthly meeting, March 22, 2023, at the Cox Science Center. Mark has been a ham for 60 years, lives in Palm Beach Gardens, and has recently taken over the CQ DX Marathon Program as of the first of the year. He would like to share with our club some of the details of the program and how simple it is to participate. Over the last two years, the DX Marathon Program has been the fastest growing DX Program in the world! In 2022, it grew +46% over the same period last year. As with every month, all are welcome to attend. The CQ DX Marathon groups.io page is here – https://groups.io/g/dxmarathon

Not just a home run, we hit it out of the park! They say a picture is worth a thousand words and a video even more. Rather than talk about it, let’s watch it.
Before we get to that, I want to thank everyone who participated, including our members, those interested in our club, and those who joined right there. I want to thank Jo, whose idea this was. Great idea, Jo! Thank you Marc for taking the group photo. Thank you Richard for being the club’s official “Chef de Ham”. Without Richard and Jo we would all go hungry. And of course, I want to thank Eric for driving a three hour round trip to meet the folks here and doing a video on our organization, with an honorable mention to our sister club, the Fair Lawn Amateur Radio Club. It was great making contact and getting to know the members of our sister club.
I do want to say to our brothers and sisters in Fair Lawn, New Jersey that it was great working you from the park, but there’s no need to let Ed have all the fun down here in sunny South Florida. Pack your bags, come on down and join us for the next Saturday in the Park!
Here is Eric’s video of this event – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HNUijZs8mA Be sure to check out Eric’s other videos there. He has some great content.
Note: To those who were there, but did not make the group photo, I apologize. As some folks come late or leave early, it’s not possible to always get everyone in the shot.
Another fantastic meeting last night, filled with fun and laughs. As always, it is great seeing everyone! What I like the most about these meetings is the meeting after the meeting, watching folks build relationships with one another. That’s what this is all about, laughs, good times, and fellowship. So on to the next…
Saturday in the Park with special guest, Eric of Ham Radio Concepts
We are getting together this Saturday, February 25th, from 10:00 to 2:00, at John Prince Park to do HF work on phone and CW with our sister club the Fair Lawn Amateur Radio Club in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. There will be plenty of time to do all other kinds of contacts that folks would like to do.
We are going to have a special guest. Eric from Ham Radio Concepts will be joining us and doing a video on our club. Eric hosts one of the most popular YouTube channels on Ham Radio, so you probably have seen him here – Ham Radio Concepts
Bring food, drink and snacks for yourself, and anything you may like to share, and radio gear if you’d like to participate. We also have some frozen hot dogs and hamburgers from our picnic and Richard will be cooking that up for us again. Thank you, Richard!
Are you new to amateur radio? Thinking about getting your license? Or maybe you’re just curious about events like this. Stop by! We are an open and friendly club and welcome all new visitors.
