Free HT radio and RT systems programming software for new licensees

Note: It hasn't been announced yet, but this program will be extended.
That's the second or third time they've extended it. I guess people are not taking advantage of this, which is crazy.
RT Systems software is the best I know of for programming radios. It is radio specific so you have to purchase for every radio you want to use it with. Alternatively, manufacturers have their own, and there's a program called Chirp which is open source and has many, many radios that it's designed for. Every radio can be programmed by hand, and that's a useful skill to learn, but initially when you're programming a lot of repeaters and frequencies you're likely going to want to use software.

It's official now... It's been extended until June 30, 2023!
