Storm Idalia & PB County ARES-On Air Net -Wed Aug 30 @ 7:00pm -"WITH SIMPLEX TEST"

We are monitoring Tropical Storm Idalia. It is expected to strengthen into a hurricane of the Eastern Gulf of Mexico in the next couple of days. The current cone of error does not cover Palm Beach County. Just monitor this area.

We will be start working on the different type so stations (POTA, SOTA, ETC). We will also run a SIMPLEX TEST during the next Radio NET!. I have attached the 2023 Palm Beach County ARES SOP sheet. All of these frequencies should be programed into your radio as we can use these at any time.

Will be using the National 2m Simplex to start the call. That is 146.520 - we could also use 146.550, 146.580, or 147.570.

Also note that we may us the National 70cm Simplex of 446.00.
