Nov 24th Veteran Fundraiser

This coming Monday Nov 24, there will be a Fundraiser for Southeast Florida Honor Flight at A'Lu Mexican Cuisine, 1080 Gateway in Boynton Beach. It is easy access, located just one half mile west of the I-95 exit for Gateway, and it is on the south side of Gateway (across the street from the big Publix shopping center).

This will be a double-action fundraiser, with a "Dine-to-Donate" component and a "Trivia Night for Honor Flight" component.

The "Dine-to-Donate" component will begin at 4 PM and will continue to the restaurant close at 10 PM. Go in during this time frame, enjoy some food & beverage, and A'LU Mexican Cuisine will donate 10% of gross sales during that period to Southeast Florida Honor Flight. And participation is NOT limited to veterans; ANYONE can participate. So go in, bring family, friends, neighbors, and anybody that wants to support veterans; the greater the participation, the greater the funds that can be raised for Honor Flight. And as an added bonus, it will be "Margarita Monday" that evening, with half-priced margaritas all evening !! (21 and over only.)

The "Trivia Night for Honor Flight" component will begin at 6:30 PM and will run for 1.5 hours, until 8:00 PM. And we are pleased to report that we have obtained a sponsor for the trivia game: Absolute Best Insurance. Thanks to their generosity in offering a donation to Honor Flight, the trivia game can act as a "force multiplier" for the fundraiser, generating funds in addition to the Dine-to-Donate portion. So the trivia game CAN be a valuable addition to the fundraiser - but we need trivia players / teams to participate in order to maximize success. And there is no charge to participate in the trivia game; it is FREE to play trivia !!

We are putting out the call for both dinner participants and trivia participants. If you go in for dinner - or better yet, bring a group in - that's great, it will generate a 10% donation to Honor Flight. But if you also participate in the trivia game, that will increase the value of your participation !!

Regardless of how you wish to participate - dinner, trivia, or both - we would welcome your support. However, please remember an important courtesy, whether you play trivia or not. While you are there, please remember to THANK Absolute Best Insurance for their support !! They will have a representative at the event and we want to make them feel that their sponsorship is appreciated.

Attached are two flyers with information about the fundraiser and some of the restaurant specials. You may share these flyers with other veterans and veteran interest groups, and they may be posted on bulletin boards at your veteran posts or chapters. Please help spread the word in support of Southeast Florida Honor Flight!!
