Since the ISS does not travel in a geostationary orbit, you need tools to understand when it's overhead.
The Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation (AMSAT) have an online tool to spot the station at https://www.amsat.org/track.

I don't know if there's an apple version, but on my Android phone I've been using "ISS Detector Satellite Tracker" for a couple of years and it has always served me well.

When using an Arrow antenna, I strap this to my wrist- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZBCK9RT/
Using that program, I can orient and track the bird with one hand easily, leaving the other free for the HT.
