Anytone has been busy. There's a new firmware update for the 878 that includes satellite tracking. Pretty neat idea, but I understand there's some problems that need to be work out, including some satellites perhaps missing and some tracking information not entirely accurate. I've not updated, so I can't speak to it. If anyone has, let us know. A full duplex HT would be welcome for satellite aficionados.
Also, in addition to the AT-D890UV, that is supposed to have airband, but is currently vaporware, Anytone has announced another new model, the AT-D168UV that should be available next month, and some vendors are taking pre-orders. This is a budget version to the 878, with a pre-order price of 200 bucks. Originally, it was supposed to be available at the end of last month, so your guess is as good as mine if it will be available next month. It does look like a great radio with a nice feature set for the price. Here's a primer:

Hi Mike,
I will get my Anytone D168UV near the end of this month, perhaps with my swag package for being a BrideCom Plus Lifetime Member.
I have a few D878UV HTs, but this will be a nice lower-budget addition to my collection.

I'm waiting on the AT-D890UV. From cars to radios, I generally I like to wait a little while for the bugs to get worked out of new models, so I'll be watching the 890 for a bit before I decide to take the plunge. The 168 looks like a lot of radio for the money. I'm excited to hear more about it, so let us know how you make out. Dave Casler got a prototype and it looks good.
