Total Solar Eclipse April 8, 2024, with Amateur Radio Operators

Here's some good information on the upcoming eclipse. We will be able to observe about 50% of it here in Palm Beach County.

At our meeting this Wednesday, Ed, WX2R, will be reviewing the HamSCI Project for this eclipse. After this solar eclipse, the next total solar eclipse that can be seen from the contiguous United States will be 20 years from now, on Aug. 23, 2044!

Amateur radio operators will have an opportunity to be a part of this science project. Ed will be covering that with us Wednesday, including how we can be a part of this project by contributing data to help further our understanding of sun-ionosphere-earth relationships.
