Anyone using WPSD for their M17, DMR, D-Star, Yaesu System Fusion (YSF/C4FM)...?
I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on this software.

Re: The WPSD Project
I will try to be nice here...
I tried this new version of pi-star on two hotspots for DMR, a pi-3 and a pi-4. At first, it seemed like it was better, with some added features and conveniences. I also tried to load it on a nano-pi which is what we use at the repeater sites in Motorola MTR-2000s. It's supposed to work but I could not get it to load and after a few tries, I posted something on their FB Group. The group auto-filter kept preventing my posting since it's prohibited from saying things like "pi-star used to do ____", etc.. I was trying to explain that the repeater was using pi-star and was excited to switch to WPSD. I did not mention anything about pi-star having a feature or anything like that and after I re-worded it several times, it posted. The next day my posting was removed and I was banned (not merely silenced or kicked-out) from the group which I can't even read to get help.
Their page talks about the spirit of amateur radio which, in my opinion, this is not. I understand they don't want to get flooded with "pi-star used to do ____" postings but if they read mine, which they did to ban me, they would see that's not what I said. I'm ok with being silenced but, in the spirit of amateur radio, at least let me be a read-only group user. I understand they don't get paid to do all of this work and I'm sure many people use and benefit from their program, but given what was done to me without explanation, I will not use their software.
I know you were looking for a technical side and in the short time I used WPSD in the pi-3 and pi-4, it seemed to be very good, but I am 100% back to pi-star. We saw some updates back in February and while everything works great, I hope we see some more updates in the future.

Thanks for your reply..... you hit an important factor with any and all hardware and software.... SUPPORT!
That is why I see every HAM store selling the new "Anytone D168UV" I lean towards BridgeCom Systems for their customer service after the sale.
Thanks! 73

Bruce,
Yes I use it with my pi-star. It gets updates all the time which is good. Very nice interface, like the pi-star dashboard.
Easy to adapt to.
