One of our members sent me some information on this organization, so I Googled their name and this is the first thing that popped up. The comments are interesting, beginning with:
“The ARRL is the Microsoft of Ham radio. When faced with competition, instead of improving their own services, they crush the competition. Although they try to give the impression that they are a quasi-government agency, in reality they are nothing except a very large ham radio club. Years ago they helped hams, but those days are long gone.
