ARRL
October 5 – 6, 2024, will be the ARRL’s Simulated Emergency Test (SET). The reporting forms are not currently available. The ARRL states when available they will be posted to their website on the Public Services/Field Services Forms page. The ARRL Southeastern Division and the South Florida Section have the option of participating in local exercises. At this time, no information has been released on that. More information can be found here – https://www.arrl.org/simulated-emergency-test

CERT
Local CERT training has already begun for this month. The information for that was posted back in July. There will be a Train the Trainer course In October. More information on that is here – https://wpbarg.com/2024/07/31/september-cert-training-train-the-trainer/

More information on CERT can be found here – https://community.fema.gov/PreparednessCommunity/s/about-cert?language=en_US

Note: FEMA and the FCC did a Nationwide Emergency Alert Test last year, with a much greater participation success over 2021. There is not one planned for this year. Sources state they are working on one for next year. There are two components, the EAS for radios and televisions, and the WEA for consumer cellular phones. The results for last year’s test can be found here – https://docs.fcc.gov/public/attachments/DOC-403500A1.pdf
